I seem to have an issue with controllign its speed.<br />

ie. Timer1 tick event<br />

Seems to overwhelm my form.... &nbsp;I set the interval to 1000 ms ... and still seems to take over... any ideas?<br />

I put t he code in the tick event; I think that might be the problem? Am I correct?<br />

Updating the label is time consuming, if you don't need to, don't do it. &nbsp;If you run a test with less Refresh-ing you will notice a big speed boost.<br />

Solutions:<br />
Use a BackgroundWorker instead of running it on a timer.<br />
<br />
Or <br />
<br />
Add:<br />
Application.DoEvents() 'keeps your loop from taking over<br />
After Me.Refresh()<br />
