when applying folder redirection for citrix users, will this improve the login/logoff process, or it will slow it down?

after they logon and open a published application ie: word.doc, and create a new document and save it, where would this be saved? if it's going to be saved in the share (for onstance in the file server), why would we set up folder redirection ?
because in windows, when you set up folder redirection, users can open word.doc locally and save it locally and when they log off it t will create a new one in the share or if it's modified ir will synchronuze.

The case with Citrix, I don't see that users will have any My documents locally in the presentation server if you set up folder redirection.

do you understand what I mean?
