It seeems that u have enabled too many items at startup and the systems is having low memory due to this.Go to start-run-msconfig-startup<wbr /> and disable some of the items from startup.Restart ur pc and try to run the setup again.<br />
Or u can disable all program at the startup just for testing purpose and run the setup again.<br />

Did you boot the PC with the CD inside (don't forget to make sure that the boot priority is set to boot from CD rom and not from HD). Reinstalling from recovery CD's usually require booting from the CD, and not running from within your running OS.

Hello, I've been having problems with Setup.exe not running in Windows XP Home. I have gone through all the steps that I can find here concerning how to fix it and still no luck. I had decided to reinstall the OS from the restore CDs but now I can't get the CD-ROM drive to reconigize that the CD is in the Drive. I have a addon DVD drive installed and if I put the CD in there it will find it but won't install anything. If I shutdown the system with the CD-Rom drive open and then restart Windows starts normally. I have tried several other CDs and it doesn't find any of them. If somebody could help me with the Setup.exe problem I would rather do that but from what I've read about the only sure solution is to reinstall the OS.
