If both laptops have license for the same version of windows (or you have a box version on the old one), you can transfer the whole hard-drive (or use Ghost to copy the whole disk). This is not easy, but doable. To avoid problems with a blue screen due to different motherboard, you would need to follow instructions here:<br />

Removing a hard-drive from a laptop is normally quite easy, if you post model &amp;&nbsp;make of both of your laptop, I can help. Also, your new laptop most probably has a higher capacity hdd, so you may want to connect both of them to a normal PC and use Ghost or similar software to copy the whole hard-drive rather than physically moving them. Laptop IDE disks need a small adapter in order to be connected to a PC, which you should be able to buy cheaply at your local computer shop.
