If you want to talk about plans, then I would also recommend the Premium plan as mentioned by SheharyaarSaahil. They have increased the disk space and bandwidth allowances at present too, which is a good bonus.<br />

Bear in mind that with most plans, you don't get the ability to actually &quot;manage&quot; the server desktop. You just FTP the site up and use a web-based control panel to configure the site. I shall explain what i did and what i want...<br />
I just bough a Domain name for 1yr.<br />
I need to buy space of 150 gb from godaddy or any other provider. I dont have an issue. Can i use this domainname with any other space provider.<br />
I want to start small but should be able to expand.<br />
today i may think of<br />
1 GB of space<br />
100 visitors per month<br />
but later can i expand the size and bandwidth without any issue.<br />
can't we pay for 1yr space or is this a monthly renewal method.<br />

Domains are NOT attached to the place where you must host them, in any way. If you want to host a site at GoDaddy but you bought a domain at 1&amp;1 (for example), you just need to tell GoDaddy during the registration procedure what your domain is and that the domain is registered elsewhere. They will tell you to change the domain's Name Servers to GoDaddy's servers, which allows the site to be hosted at GoDaddy. You will be guided through all of this.<br />

All the GoDaddy plans can be bought on a 12 month contract if you wish to pay for it this way. The longer you sign up for, the cheaper it is per month.<br />

No need to pay for the best GoDaddy plan and get all the resources if you won't be using them immediately.<br />

if you would ask me, i'll advise for <a href="http://www.godaddy.com" rel="ugc">www.godaddy.com</a>&nbsp;as i have tried and its my persoanl favorite.<br />
secondly, if you want to start with small, go with the Economy Plan<br />
you can buy it by paying for 2 months, just for making sure that you are stasified after using it for 2 months<br />
if you are satisfied you can renew it later for 1/2/3 years, whatever you feel like buying.<br />

and you can upgrade your account anytime to another one in between.

This would be something you'd have to check with GoDaddy. I expect you can, but I would always be sure to get what I need from the outset. Like I said, you don't see any benefits of getting Windows or Linux - you never actually access the server desktop which the site is hosted on. If you have ASP or ASP.NET in the site, then you must get Windows, otherwise I'd recommend you go for Linux.<br />

Yes, and then you just need to follow GoDaddy's instructions to tell the domain registrar that the site is hosted at GoDaddy.<br />

500 email mailboxes, as ShehaaryaarSaahil as said. In fact, it allows you to create a mailbox to store mail in. You also get a set number of email forwards, so you still set your email addresses up, but they just forward to another address.<br />
