Yes the chepeast way is linux hosting so you have to buy a linux server and if it is like rapidshare then you have to host on the dedicate server not on the shared hosting server. <br />

If the application is develop in the php then you can run it on the apache and database as mysql.<br />
<br />
If you want to use window plateform then you can use asp.net and MSSSQL.<br />

I just want to create my own small Linux based webhosting server like rapidshare.com, where company user and client download update the file for sharing and get the auto generated link, <br />
1. it support on the .zip and .rar file for uploading, &nbsp;also having the size limited maximum 100 Mb, <br />
2. all old files automatically deleted after 30 days<br />
3. also upload the secure password folder to access the files.<br />
4. do not required the cluster and multi download link<br />
Kindly let me know which software I need to use for the same and what steps i need to follow to done this job.<br />
