Hosting multiple editions of same site (Will split points)

Hiya

I'm just looking into the problems and their solutions to displaying different versions of the same site aimed at different countries (Different languages).

I know different editions of the same site can use the same resources but it cant be that simple especially the whole language thing. Can you suggest some issues I should consider and any solutions.

Thanks

Sorry I was stupid not to iclude that.

PHP and MySQL is what I currently use and will be using for this project but I'm soon to start studying a newplatform asp.net probably. If they have that support for interionalization then I should probably just get to grips with it sooner than planned.
