One problem seems to be that age old problem with the setTimeout () function. &nbsp;It is a real BEAR to master.<br />

Basically, the setTimeOut calls a FUNCTION, with a delay. &nbsp;SO it should be more like this --<br />

Have you looked at this in Firefox? &nbsp;The page rendering is pretty much chopped to pieces, left to right.

I think the function to shift it seems unnecessary. &nbsp;Why not just create a DIV to put it into --<br />
<br />
ALL of top code<br />
<br />
new DIV<br />
menu bar<br />
end DIV<br />
<br />
ALL of bottom code.<br />
<br />
YOu should not have to shift the menu bar to the left or right. &nbsp;Remember, a DIV by default takes the entire screen width, so this is perfect for your menu bar. &nbsp;I would eliminate the move function, you don't (shouldn't ) need it.
