SharePoint Portal - Folder Restrictions

Hi All,

I have created a Sharepoint Portal. But I was wondering is it possible in sharepoint portal that we give some restrictions to some folders which are displayed on the home page. Say for example. I have created a folder named as TEST. This folder should be accessed only by the User who has logged in by his name and should not be able to access another folder which can be displayed as TEST1. Basically it should work like the FTP Server folders. It can be displayed by the user but should be able to access them as they do have permissions to access them. Hope you have understood what I am trying to say.

Any solutions on this will highly be appreciated.
Thank You in advance.
