I got the hotfix described in KB915797 and when I installed the hotfix I responed that hotfix was older than the existing version and was not installed.

I reinstalled the client tools for SQL Sever and it seemed to resolve the problem.<br />

I have a server running Server 2003 Standard Edition SP2 and SQL Server 2000. &nbsp; All of a sudden over the past month or so I am having problems running the enterprise manager for SQL Server. &nbsp;Once launched I am getting the following error: &quot;MMC has detected an error in a snap-in. &nbsp;It is recommended that you shut down and restart MMC&quot;. &nbsp; &nbsp;This error has rendered the enterprise manager useless because I cannot do anything. &nbsp; I read somewhere that the problem is being caused by an update for the MMC console received from Microsoft. &nbsp;I am unable to find a solution to fix the problem. &nbsp; Has anybody encountered this same issue? &nbsp;Does anybody have a solution/work around for it?
