Yes and No... &nbsp;Flash only understands HTML 1.1 specification... &nbsp;So, if your HTML page only contains that, Flash is able to read &amp;&nbsp;understand that... &nbsp;But if you have anything more than that, Flash simply cannot understand what it means...<br />

hello,,, yes i thought for sure that flash would be able to load anything externally through a movie clip or container. &nbsp;<br />

Since it could load external swf', images, and video, i figured that an external html would be no problem!<br />
<br />
I am familiar with the basic html flash can read through dynamic text. &nbsp;Any other ways?<br />

That's how you are setting the content of the iframe which is outside the Flash piece... &nbsp;That's not how you are loading the HTML content into the Flash...<br />

i have thought about a good way to achieve the results i am looking for.<br />

Basically, i have a google gadget that I want to have displayed within my flash movie.<br />

----so, what I am going to do is have this inside of a java script pop up window, with no toolbars, no scroll, no menu..etc.... so for instance my gadget is 200x200.... &nbsp;I am going to create this pop up to be 200x200 and have it look like it is just the google gadget all alone and I will set the coordinate to be on the left side or right side of the website in the blank space,, this way it is not in the way &nbsp;and they can view it /use it if needed...<br />

I have the pop up window working fine right now, but it is not called until i click on a button, then it will pop up.. &nbsp; <br />

-----------------QUESTION:<wbr /> &nbsp;how can I make it where this popup with my gadget automatically is called as soon as the first frame of the first page comes up. &nbsp;.. another words, as soon as the preloader has reached 100% and the main page comes up I would like the pop up to appear. &nbsp;How can I achieve this... Well... &nbsp;Utilize that getURL() call... &nbsp;In other word, create an empty iframe on top of the Flash... &nbsp;Run your preloading routine... &nbsp;and make a getURL() call you have up there as soon as it reaches 100% so that the iframe can load your gadget into it... &nbsp;You only need to change the frame name and the name of the HTML file in that getURL() call...<br />
