asked on

Can not add a password when creating a new user.

I can not add a password to a new user or change a password using ConsoleOne on my admin workstation.  When I try to add the user I get "error 319- An internal program error has occurred"  I can add and change password through iManage and I can also get ConsoleOne to work correctly on another workstation.  I have trying uninstalling and reinstalling ConsoleOne but it has not helped.  I am trying to avoid reformating the admin workstation because of all the other this I have running on it.  Any thoughts?

What do you get if you run C1 from the server's shortcut and not as an installed application on your actual PC?

If I go to X server on my server it works fine, but I can add someone to GroupWise there.  How do I get to a server shortcut?

I didn't say to use X...

\\server\sys\Public\mgmt\ConsoleOne\1.2\bin\ConsoleOne.exe

Tell me if problems persist while using that version.

Didn't see the OES tag...are you trying to run this on a NIX machine or a Windows-based machine?

I am running ConsoleOne on a WindowsXP machine.  I got the same error using the short cut to the server.

Lemme ask - is your version of ConsoleOne on your workstation the exact same version as the clients that work properly?

Strike that.  Your version of the Novell Client, not ConsoleOne (argh) - and by the way, what version of the Novell Client are you using?

I'm running Novell Client 4.91 SP4 for Windows on the machine that does not work and Novell Client 4.91 SP3 for Windows that does.
