POP is not working for internal or external clients. Yes, POP on the firewall is set. this has been working for several years, but stopped today. i use the trendmicro worry free advanced product, i dont think that would block it.

Make certain the POP service is up and running.<br />

Inside source - open command prompt and: &nbsp;telnet &nbsp;server IP 110<br />
Do you get a response?<br />

From an outside source - open command prompt and: telnet publicMail_IP address 110<br />
Do you get a response?<br />
<br />
This will ensure 1 that your POP service is up, and 2 that you can access it via your firewall from the outside.<br />

i just tried this on the server not working and a known good server, i got different responses.<br />

on this server i typed in:<br />
<br />
telnet mailserver 110 and hit enter, it went back to the C:\ with no message. it didnt say failed though. when i did the same thing on port 111 it said failed (which it should)<br />
<br />
on the good server i got +OK Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 POP3 server version 6.5.7638.1 (mail server) ready.<br />

hope this helps... also the pop service is running and so is inetinfo.exe in processes
