Toshiba Laptop witth shaky sound befor and after XP reinstall

I have a Toshiba laptop Model number A105-S4094. I received it with crackling sound. I've reloaded the operating system after having tried reinstalling drivers and all the other typical things. After the reload i am stuck with the same problem. There are no options for the sound card in the CMOS or anywhere in the OS that i haven't tryed changing to resolve this.

Any ideas?

Thanks all for the effort....I just went thru the warranty and they are replacing the speakers and sound card (mother board intergrated so its like a whole new laptop). Dell had no clue either. That as we all know is an hour and a half I will never get back.

Out of curiosity F-King, what does trying it in another house or building do?
This is the best money I have ever spent. I cannot not tell you how many times these folks have saved my bacon. I learn so much from the contributors.

Oh okay. I was curious where you were going with that. This was a laptop that we had in the customers home as well as at our shop. We even tried speakers thru the head phone port that worked on the adjacent desktop a minute before. Oddly when doing a hardware diagnostic with Dell, the speakers beeped at the Video Test. This usually signifies that the speakers and audio are intact. It felt like a driver to me but none worked and I had my two techs and dell try all they could find. They just gave up and sent new motherboard and speakers. This laptop was only purchased in April.

Thanks again for the insight.
