STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
I have a Windows Server 2003 Standard computer that restarts and restarts and restarts. After disabling automatic reboot on system failure I was able to see the following error:
STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000080 (0x00000000 0x0000000)
The system has been shutdown.
I am never able to access the desktop. Safe Mode also restarts and restarts. I ran a chkdsk /p with no improvement. Last Known Configuration did not improve anything.
I tried using the following Microsoft article but I am unable to access Dr. Watson or the registry because I am unable to access the desktop.

Thanks for your response, but unfortunately the solution did not work. I tried replacing the MSVCRT.dll from the CD and from a similar server with no luck.

This occurs when Windows switches into kernel mode and a user-mode subsystem, such as Winlogon or the Client Server Runtime Subsystem (CSRSS), is compromised. Security can no longer be guaranteed. I am not able get to the desktop in order to do what the articles tell me to do.
I just put in a request to see if anyone can recommend a AV and AS package that runs off a boot disk. I think the nature of your problem may be malware.

Thought this article pertains to NT4 server, it may also pertain to 2003 server. Can you replace the MSVCRT.dll file on your server. Rename the potentially corrupt one from MSVCRT.dll to MSVCRT.old in case we need to put it back into action.
