So edit /etc/hosts approprietly.

scoadmin -&gt; printers -&gt; (two options - add/remove HP {port 9100} services {{must be done once, and only once}} - add/remove HP printers)<br />

LPD is easy - just add and set host to IP or hostname and queue to LPT1 (The local queue on the SCO machine would be LPT1 I think)

USB port is unlikely to work with legacy OS.<br />

Telnet to your laser printer's network card and make sure it has protocols enabled. New ones come with most disabled. Smae with jetdirect cards.

I agree. &nbsp;If you do go the ghostscript route you could modify the printer script to pipe through it. &nbsp;The script is in /usr/spool/lp/admins/lp/in<wbr />terfaces/m<wbr />odel.orig<br />

I'm running sco 507. I have 5 jetdirect print servers running fine. We are adding an hp laserjet 2840 with built in networking. Set sco to print to this ip and mac number and it will not print. I can print from windows to this printer just fine. Any ideas?<br />

Printing under sco unix to hp printers with builtin network card
