Enable FTP in Access 2003

Hi,

I'm exploring ways to get an Access 2003 application to download files from an FTP site. After much googling I've come across MSINET.OCX - the Microsoft Internet Transfer Control. This looks good, and I think I could use it just fine - I'm just having trouble determining if it's redistributable or if it's one of those files every windows computer will have. Does anybody know, or know of any way to find out?

Also, if there's a better way to do this than MSINET, that would be good to know too.

Thanks

Will it always be the same site?  The same files?  I have VBA routines to upload files to FTP sites from within Access applications.  I use these to upload html, asp or php pages created from db data.  Relatively easy to modify if you will always be accessing the same sites and files.  You could also build a form to allow the user to input parameters such as site address, directory name, file name, etc.  The routines use Windows native FTP client via Shell commands.

Right, I forgot about that thing... it's just ftp.exe, right? And it's standard on XP and Vista? Let me play around with that for a bit, and I'll let you know if I need any help. Thanks for the idea!
