If you are describing a typical scenario where both copies in both locations have only the latest entries that were made at that location, and not the other one, then you will have to use Quickbooks itself to recreate the missing entries. &nbsp;You simply rename the copy at the other location to a different named .QBW file name, INCLUDING the index file of the same name, then on one computer, open up each datafile in a different QB window (i.e. run two separate instances of QB). &nbsp;Then you can cut and paste entries between them. &nbsp;This is the only way you are going to get a complete dataset out of it.<br />

Tip for future use -- they are doing correct in not trying to edit off a removable. &nbsp;It is insecure, slow, and prone to corruption. &nbsp;Copying to the HDD is the right way to do it. &nbsp;All they need to add is 2 extra data files and indices to the removable -- <br />
<br />
FULLDATA.QBW &nbsp;+ FULLDATA.BAK<br />
HOMEDATA.QBW + HOMEDATA.BAK<br />
OFFICEDATA.QBW + OFFICEDATA.BAK<br />
and the related index files.<br />
<br />
Procedure -- <br />
1.When at the office save the updated dataset to FULLDATA, then save again to OFFICEDATA.<br />
2. When at home, save the changed dataset to FULLDATA and save again to HOMEDATA.<br />
3. &nbsp;When copying to the HDD, copy only FULLDATA files and edit them. &nbsp;Then copy back.<br />
4. &nbsp;Only once a month, update the .BAK datasets on the removable disk<br />
5. &nbsp;There is enough room on a typical 20MB removable for all 6 copies of the data.<br />

They don't have 3 months of their data at either location...It was at their main residence until they copied the file off the jump drive, over the existing file.<br />
