Problem adding new SATA hard disks to Dell PowerEdge 2950 Server

I recently obtained a Dell Poweredge 2950 from a friend. It came without any software. I purchased Windows 2003 Server and installed succesfully with 2 - 79 GB hard disks. I purchased 2 additional drives from Dell which are SATA. When I istall the drives, they are not reconginzed by the OS. Am I missing a step here?

You have to go into the PERC controller bios and configure them in there before OS will recognize them.  Watch the boot up screen when you see the PERC Controller information you should see the key combo to enter the container.

Check the bios to see if the sata ports are enabled.

If they are brand new drives you will need to go into computer management then disk management.
You should see the drives there and they will probably say unallocated.
Right click them and then format (NTFS) and initialize.
Make them basic disks. Also you should highley consider going to raid on a server if this is going to be put into use on a business network

My apologies. Turns out this was not a high priority for us and I have not had a chance to try any of the suggestions. I would appreciate it if you would keep it open.
