a Ghost user has locked an excel spreadsheet
this has been going on for over a year. Every once in a while an excel spreadsheet will be locked by a user called '.' no one can access the file and no one else in the office is currently using the file. Any ideas on what this could be?

when you try to see who has it open there is no reference to anyone in the office. The error report within excel just says it is open by '.'
