click the mht file<br />
file&gt;edit with microsoft word<br />
Insert <br />

&nbsp;| select the bookmark<br />
save <br />
close<br />
click the mhtml file again<br />
click the hyper link<br />
it fails with &quot;the page cannot be displayed<br />

Hmm, that's odd. &nbsp;I did those steps and it works okay for me.<br />
The error message you are getting is when you view the mht file in the web browser. &nbsp;What web browser/version are you using. &nbsp;If you are using IE6 (SP1) you may want ot look here - <a href="http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892056" rel="ugc nofollow">http://support.microsoft.c<wbr />om/kb/8920<wbr />56</a> which suggest the following work arounds:<br />
- After you receive the &quot;Page cannot be displayed&quot; error message, click Refresh in Internet Explorer to view the Office document.<br />
- In Internet Explorer, turn off the Show friendly HTTP error messages option. To do this, follow these steps: 1. Start Internet Explorer. 2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options. 3. In the Internet Options dialog box, click the Advanced tab. 4. On the Advanced tab, click to clear the Show friendly HTTP error messages check box, and then click OK.<br />
Do any of the above work arounds solve the issue?<br />

None of the work arrounds worked<br />
it might be the fact that I have the files on a network drive<br />
I have attached the mth file (as a txt file so it can be added here)<br />

the first link is the one genrated by word<br />
the other links are some attempts to work find a link that works.<br />
