Can't get the WSUS Server to detect a newly added computer for updates.

I was given a new Visa computer to add to the network, since XP Pro is the only authorized OS, I formated and installed XP Pro. I added the computer to the domain and the computer is working fine and can access the Internet and domain resources, except I can't get it to get updates from our WSUS server. Automatic updates are off on the computer, the firewall is off. The WSUS is working fine and giving updates for all other computers on the network. The new computer is in the same OU on the domain as the other computers. The WSUS is a replica of another WSUS server and is running Server 2003 OS. The network is a MS Server 2003 and XP pro network.
