Thanks for the reply but your answer isn't what I require. I want to change the size of the text to fit the button width. The button width must remain the same.

Well you would have to find a maximum textWidth value that would fit your button regardless of font.<br />
<br />
Then you would need to run a routine against the label to check every font size starting at the smallest and do a canvas.textwidth('yourlabe<wbr />l') and compare the value against your maximum. As soon as you go over the maximum you know you need the previous font size.<br />

To be honest this seems a little over the top just for a caption on a label.

well, it all depends on the sizes of the button, if you are going to scale down the text on a button with a low value width, it will be hard to read.<br />

As they others suggested you can change the button width to fit the caption fairly easy.<br />
There are sevral things you will have to have in mind todo what you are asking.<br />
Firstly you will have to find a FONT that actually supports a lower size value.<br />
<br />
You can't really change the size of the Button &quot;Canvas&quot; and then insert it back.<br />
And as they also suggested, you can take a label and add it ontop the specified button.<br />
<br />
Still, you will have to check the size of the button. Find the correct Font,<br />
make a Size table which you can use to bind diffrent Button Widths to a specified font Size.<br />

Else, i still would want to change the button width after the caption length.<br />
