I used 
aspnet_ iisreg.exe -i 
and allowed asp.net v2.0 50727 in iis web service extensions. 
 
I didnt develop it but client is on numerous computers at numerous sites and all of a sudden it stopped working. 
 
I was thinking that it might of been a windows update that did something.. 
 
I will get developer to try your code in application. 
The issue is that it works via a browser but not via the client and the client has been working for 1.5 years. 
 
I dont really want to rebuild server but looks like I have no choice..

We have an inhouse .net developed client application that connects to our w2003R2 server via the SOAP protocol. 
 
A few days a ago the client application started producing this error : 
Error = &nbsp;The request failed with HTTP status 417: Expectation failed 
 
Basicly when you launch the client application it sends authentication to the server and the server responds and the user can use application. 
 
The problem is that the server receives the SOAP xml data but it doesnt process it!! NO RESPONCE. 
 
I have no idea why this all of a sudden STOPPED after working for 1.5Years.. 
 
We have tried re-installing .net, Service packs, Updates, reconfiguring eveyring we could possiblly think of but &nbsp;NO GOOD. 
 
I would be FOREVER GRATEFULL if someone could help.

.net stopped processing SOAP messages all of a sudden!!
