Unable to connect to VPN
Hi Experts,
I cannot connect to my office network using VPN (I am using the VPN client which comes with XP) from my home using broadband connection (BSNL). The process, it connects the server address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and tries to authenticate then it gives up.
This is accessible from other networks.
Any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks,

There might be a filter (or a firewall, or a NAT device) in BSNL's network that doesn't pass GRE protocol packets.

I checked out with my fellow colleagues who are using the same BSNL network. They do not seem to be having this problem.
As your PC will be having an Private IP address, VPN will not work. You will have to configure the modem to operate at bridged mode rather than PPPoE mode.
You need to create a PPPoE dialer on your PC and enter username and password and click on connect. Your PC will send username and password.

My laptop get the dynamic IP address. Let me try with Bridge and update you.

Unfortunately, my internet connection is inactive for few days. I will try when once it is up and running.
No issues, try once the internet connection is fixed and do let me know in case you require any assistance.
