No Exchange attributes in AD

I just built a server running windows 2003 R2 64bit. I then installed Exchange Server 2007. This is my first time working wth 2007 and i can go into exchange and create mailbox for a user already in AD but from AD users and computers i can not create a mailbox as i create a new user? Why? Even after i create the user in 2003 i could go to "All Task" and go to Exchange Task and creat a mailbox on that user.

Can this be done in 2007 or not? Even after i create a user then create an associated mailbox in Exchange when i come back to the user in AD i do not have Exchange tabs in the profile?

Yes this is how Exchange 2007 has been designed
You got to live with it and use either Powershell (EMS) or Exchange Management Console (EMC)
:-) !!
Thanks

tkthelpdesk,
1. On the Exchange Server, Start > All Programs > Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 > Exchange Management Console.
2. Expand recipient Configuration > Mailbox.

right click new mailbox - select new user or existin user :)
