Users can not send messages to Email address outside the company

Users can send messages to email addresses INSIDE the company without issue
Users can recieve messages from email addresses OUTSIDE the company without issue
But users CAN NOT send messages to email addresses OUTSIDE the company
(@yahoo.com, @gmail.com, @chrysler.com, etc)
After trying to send a message to email addresses OUTSIDE the company users will get a return email stating Undeliverable (see snippet below) or a DELAYED message.

Any idea why this is happening?

We are using Synamic IP addresses
Not sure if we are on any blacklist (I will check)
Not sure about the ReversDNS (I will check
Not sure about the server announcing itself with FQDN(FQDN???)

I did notice there are a lot of error messages in the Event Log on this server...

If you are using a Dynamic IP address there is a very good chance that you will not be allowed to send mail via DNS.

I suggest you speak to your ISP and arrange to send mail via them as a smart host using an SMTP Connector.

Dynamic IP addresses
I did verify that we are not on any IP Black list!
One thing I did notice....I compared my email server to a few other email servers in the company...when I do a IPCONFIG /DisplayDNS ...there are only 2 records that appear....
but when I do a IPCONFIG /DisplayDNS on the other email servers in the company I see a entire list of records and no users on these server are having outside email issues

If the emails were sitting in the queue then yes this may be the issue, however the emails are being rejected, and as such stipulates that DNS isn't the issue.

You need to speak to your host to arrange using them as a Smart Host to route your email through, or move to a Static IP Address.

hi

which exchange server version are you using ?
from my memory, the default setting of exchange server is not allow you to send email, you need to create a send connector.

The logs are showing that a connection is being established and that the email is being rejected.

You might just want to check your internal DNS just to make sure everything is working fine.
