Have you tried stopping the Automatic Updates service on the client, rename the SoftwareDistribution folder to SoftwareDistribution.old, rename catroot2 to catroot2.old, and start the Automatic Updates service again - then run the wuauclt /resetauthorization /detectnow command again.

I can't rename the catroot2 folder, says it's in use or write-protected. &nbsp;I performed everything else, however.

I forgot to mention - to rename the catroot2 folder (not the &quot;catroot&quot; folder!), you would have to enter safe mode, or use Recovery Console.<br />

This is very unlikely to resolve the issue though.<br />
Can you confirm that there are no software firewalls installed on this computer?<br />

Just had another look at the log.<br />

This indicates a proxy error. Can you confirm if this client is connecting via a proxy server - if indeed your network is using one?<br />
If you have a proxy - is &quot;Bypass proxy server for local addresses&quot; enabled - if not - it should be.<br />

No such luck, I deleted the computer, ran the script, and it still didn't work. &nbsp;The machine doesn't even show up in the Update Services manager anymore. &nbsp;Putting serious consideration into throwing in the towel at this point.

I did just like the directions said; deleted the computer, ran the batch file, but nothing new appeared. &nbsp;Refresh the window, but the machine didn't show up, at which time I posted my previous note. &nbsp;However, upon checking this morning, the machine re-appeared, and furthermore reported that all updates were installed @ 100%! &nbsp;Thanks for that batch file, worked PERFECTLY :) :)
