Outlook + Exchange + Additional Global Address list

Is it possible to add an additional global address list, named whatever I want, and have distribution groups from the active directory only show up in this new address list?

In a word, YES.

In ESM >  Recipients > All Global Address Lists, you can create an GAL and filter it to suit your needs.

Yes I think so, but your distribution group must be mail-enabled.

You can create a new GAL (right click ALL Global Address List) and name it whatever, click Filter Rule and select mail enabled group.
