Have a lot of messages that are coded 4.4.7. I have changed all my timings. did not do anthing? Re-started the server and all seems to be ok??

After receiving a lot of 4.4.7 messages. I changed all my time outs and the number of concurrent messages. That seemed to do nothing?

Then I re-started the server and all problems went away?

Can there be corruption in Exchange that was cleared up with a re-start?

Probably all the settings you changed needed a restart of the Exchange services to take effect?

Did you restart the Exchange Services after applying the new settings? If not, that explains.

I recommend running Microsoft's Exchange 2003 Analyzers -- Troubleshooting & Best Practices:

I also recommend running your site through MX Toolbox (www.mxtoolbox.com) to see if there are any external issues that might be affecting your domain and/or server environment.
