Difference between Set chained OFF|ON, Sybase

Hello experts,

I want to know the difference about what does this command means in sybase and when to use them?
1. Set chained OFF|ON
2. Execute <Storedprocedure>, "anymode" (When to put chained, unchained and anymode options while running stored procedures)

Thanks
