yes it was working at one time. And I have restarted windows. Infact I completely removed and reinstalled the drivers for the tape drives. When I look at the removable storage devices in windows it shows all the tapes as 'written by TSM'.<br />

however, the Device driver in TSM is stopped and as soon as a click start, it just brings up the message that I mentioned in my original question.<br />

I've attached the jpeg to show how the drives show up in TSM. <br />

I can even add a shared library with this device on the administration center or through the command prompt. But my understanding is that unless I am able to start the device driver in TSM I will not able to to setup library clients. Is that correct? <br />
<br />
Furthermore, will TSM even send any backups to the tape drives without the device driver showing as 'started&quot;?<br />

Java App Servers

Cloud services and other new forms of remote storage also add to the capacity of devices and their ability to access more data without building additional data storage into a device.
