I will admit the AVG management interface was 2 years ago. As mentioned though the application worked very well.

what about it end point and symantec information system foundation

Rob - I'm not saying your suggestion of GFI is bad at all, it was just my $0.02!

If you want to look after your servers, I would never recommend any Symantec products. The performance drain for many is just too much.

I understood tigermatt.
GFI is pricey and I don't know that they have a desktop solution. Very detailed configuration options though.

The only complaint I had with AVG was the management tools supplied with early 7.0 and the 450 page management guide. I'm not surprised that has improved as there products are normally easy to manage, and very dependable.

I agree on Symantec as well. Ignoring the performance issues, I have had to rebuild servers after Symantec was installed. Shame, as they were state of the art 5+ years ago.

jimmymcp02 is one of a handful around here who can make Symnatec stuff work and I really respect that.
Their products were a real nightmare for me and I pulled them out of several networks starting in about 2000 - never went back.

I've been impressed with the AVG stuff. Simple and I can install it and let the users manage the function without calling me in for all the piddly problems.
