I think you may be right. &nbsp;I would try to do a search to find free SSL certificates to use. &nbsp;I use to know a good one, &nbsp;but can't seem to find it. &nbsp;I just did a quick search for free and it led me here, you may want to check it out.<br />

from the link you sent me i generated a free SSL cert and imported it into IIS. Now i'm getting the original error i was getting a while back: &quot;Your account in Microsoft Exchange does not have permission to synchronize with your current settings. Contact your Exchange server administrator&quot; ... i have a question posted about this as well.... &nbsp; &nbsp;i really dont know why i am getting this error....?

there is a root cert which is in the trusted root, this cert has a different expiry date to the front facing cert in IIS, so there are definately two certificates and one being the ROOT. i think the mobile is not trying to sync with the ROOT cert, but the one in the default website? - this is not a ROOT cert... <br />

i think i might have solved it yesterday, was playing with the default active sync policy on the server. I exported the ROOT cert from the server and imported it into the phone - &nbsp;these i think were the last 2/3 things i did - &nbsp; seems to work now.... &nbsp;:-) :-) :-)<br />

Except &nbsp;i'm not getting external mail sent to the device yet unless it is downloaded by POP first. We are still using pop to download, as soon as i have eliminated this i believe all emails will come to the device and not just company mail..... ?

Just another option: &nbsp;We use to run a blackberry redirector here at the office, now what I do is for blackberry users is just set up a contact in exchange pointing to the blackberry email address and then set their user account to forward to the contact, so they receive whatever email they would in the office on their blackberry. &nbsp;The only thing is, it doesn't sync with their email box, but my users like that so when they go on trips they can delete everything in their blackberry and not have to worry what they deleted, because they still know they have it in their inbox. &nbsp;Now, obviously each device is different in that they can connect different ways. &nbsp;My MotoQ connects via OWA, which is secure and does sync with my inbox. &nbsp;So their may be other options if this proves to be a pain for you trying to manage, but of course I don't know how many users you will be supporting. But, nice to know their are other options :)

once i have forwarded all email to go through exchange, with direct push in place, the pda will receive all the mail no problem.<br />
