You dont make a library of web user controls. The are intended to be easy to make, just markup and their own code behind. The disadvantage is that the files must be moved into each project in which they are used.<br />

You can make derived controls, where you inherit from a textbox for example, and implement some custom functionality.<br />
You can make composite controls, where you inherit from compositecontrol and add multiple web controls to your composite control, like a textbox, label, checkbox for some specific use.<br />
And you can make custom controls, they inherit from webcontrol or control. They are all done with code, no designer, and they generate their won html for rendering.<br />

All of the 3 controls above can be compiled into a library. Only user controls cannot.

Thanks, I did some research and it seems that any control that I want to put in a dll, or something like that must be done with code and not the designer, is this correct? &nbsp;(I do not want to &nbsp;have to copy the controls asmx file to each project)<br />
