Ok&amp; heres what the deal is&amp;..<br />

I use the online backup service Carbonite. I successfully finished backing up my internal drive the other day and so wanted to backup an external 1TB USB drive I have certain family photos and such on. But Carbonite wont let me because it says it doesnt allow backing up Network or External drives. I fully understand that they wouldnt allow network drives to be backed up&amp; they want me to have to pay for another subscription on the other machine. But my USB drive is permanently connected to the machine. Under disk management the USB drive shows as a fixed drive. But there must be something else that tells Carbonite that its a USB drive. What I need is a way to fool Carbonite into thinking its a regular internal drive.<br />

How to get Carbonite to see an external drive as a Fixed Drive
