TinyMCE Image Plugin

I am developing a website for our local sport club (for free) and I'd like the facility to upload images into TinyMCE 3.x.  I have tried the standard advimage plugin, and also the iBrowser plugin but they don't work very well.

If it was a commercial job I'd simply buy a licence of :

However, as it is a free website I'd like to limit it to free plugins if possible.  Does anyone know of a simple and free plugin that will allow me to insert an image from a specified directory.

It only has to list the filenames - even thumbnails are optional.  Uploading is a nice feature, but again - optional.

Much obliged to you all!

IIRC, TinyMCE provides this function in native mode.  I use WordPress for lots of apps, and they can all upload images.  Get the latest and check the INSTALL.TXT -- also, see:

Ray and logudotcom:,

Imagemanager / filemanager are great but they are not free. For a regular job I would not hesitate to spend the money, but this job is for free.  So I was hoping for a free and simple plugin.

iBrowser works but I found it very clunky and quite unfirendly to use. I was also having a myriad of path problems when I was setting it up :)
The thought has crossed my mind. Although I have a lot of time and knowledge invested in TinyMCE, so I'm not ready to jump ship just yet :)

I have also tried the demo plugin at (SMImage). Even though it is not free.  Due to path issues I couldn't get my images to display, and unfortunately no available documentation to troubleshoot.

Worst case I may have to fall back on the included advimage plugin as part of TinyMCE.  It just seems a shame for such a simple function :)
I've never really spent any time with FCK, either.  Here is my TinyMCE Init - it produces a button that allows image uploads.  If you have a copy of WP, the current is 2.6, I think.  This was drawn from 2.5. ~Ray
