May as well add my two cents.<br />

The command network 10.70.0.0 0.1.255.255 will enable EIGRP on any interfaces that are in the 10.70.x.x - 10.71.x.x range. It may look awkward but its gets the same result as:<br />
<br />
network 10.70.0.0 0.0.255.255<br />
network 10.71.0.0 0.0.255.255

Actually no it wouldn't be the same.<br />
EIGRP will trim the two network statements into a single &quot;network 10.0.0.0&quot; which will enable EIGRP for the 10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255 range. By using the wildcard masks you can be more selective.<br />

Cisco subnetting question
