When you say you moved them manually, did you mean you copied the grc.dat file of the primary server to each of the pcs? <br />

If you havent done the above, then you can easily move the clients from one parent server to another by copying the GRC.DAT (\\new parent server\vplogon directory) &nbsp;to \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition\7.5 on those pcs that you want to move and then &nbsp;restarting the Symantec AntiVirus service.<br />

[to copy the grc.dat to each of the pcs, you could access them using \\computer name\c$\documents and settings\all users\application data\symantec\symantec antivirus corportate editon\7.5 and use the computer management mmc targeted at that computer to restart the symantec service.<br />

Also you need to make sure you either have no root certificate on your clients, or the one that matches the server group you are moving them to.<br />

Check that the certificates in \\SAVServer\VPHOME\pki\roo<wbr />ts match those in \Program Files\Symantec AntiVirus\pki\roots - if they don't then either copy the one from the server, or delete the one on the client and restart the SAV service.<br />

The above is right on track, but some other thoughts: &nbsp;perhaps the windows firewall on the client PC is blocking SAV communications and blocking your ability to drag and drop them from one server to another through the console. &nbsp;Try turning off a client side firewall to see if that helps, and if so you can use a GPO to open the necessary ports. &nbsp;Or perhaps the account you are logged in with does not have sufficient rights on those machines, or perhaps file and print sharing is disabled on those PC's.

You do not need to be domain admin, but do need admin rights of the client computers. &nbsp;Have you tried the GRC.dat or any of the other suggestions? &nbsp;I am not clear if you still need help, or if you have solved your problem already.

I would suggest checking connectivity issues between the clients that have not moved and the server. For instance make sure you can ping the server from the clients, ensure there is no firewall in between (windows or third party).<br />
<br />
As for the deployment of grc.dat, as stated above, you can do a one time modification of the login script to deploy that and remove that line after all the clients have moved over. those that have not might require a physical visit but there shouldnt be many.<br />

If you didnt want to accept my solution you could at least give me points for assisting because my solution did contain pretty much what herrmannator put on.
