As per me In DFS environment we can't copy and place the data to other drive. It will not work. I have tested the same. DFS will overwrite and again starts data replication. Could you suggest me any other method which is recommended by microsoft by using some tools.

Wow, my goodness.. &nbsp; I just realized that you said it's not R2.. in which case it's not DFS-R, it's DFS with the File Replication Service.. &nbsp;my bad...<br />

Of course, a similar situation arises, and it's even worse with the FRS because there's limited tools available to really control the FRS.<br />
<br />
You should absolutely upgrade to R2 and use DFS Replication. &nbsp; It won't help you in this case, however, but you'll really like the performance. &nbsp; Puts FRS to shame.<br />

In one server disk drive is completely full, so I want to move DFS data into other drive. please tell me how to do it without depending on replication over wan as data is quite high.<br />
