Gateway
I have tried to assign a static ip address for some specific tool in xp, but when I change it pickup Obtain an IP address automatically I no longer have the default gateway, how can i readd this default.

But where do you add it, because when you select obtain an ip address automaticly it greys out the default gateway box, so I cannot add it in anywhere that I can see. I have found it from another pc using ipconfig, i just cannot see where to add it back

*found it being using ipconfig from another pc to find the default gateway
If the PC is set to obtain an IP address automatically it expects to get the default gateway information from the dhcp server, so the option to add it manually is disabled.
