Well, being that Xbox MOBOs are not sold seperately from Xboxes, pretty much the only way to get one is to get a used Xbox.  Maybe you can find one on ebay where it's just a bad DVD drive and someone's getting rid of it or something like that.  As far as finding out what you've got, I'm not sure without being able to power it on.

Hi,
Thanks Guys...but now here where the problem starts in Ebay they are selling versions which are NTSC-U and mine is NTSC-J and im not able to find anything matching the specific drive and apart from the sites mentioned will can only check once i hit the home as i cant access these sites at the moment in the office....

Also ohk now i have one more technical question lets say if i take care of NTSC-U motherboard and i understand that which version of XBOX will get changed from NTSC-J but what else i need to take care of as in what else i have to purchase apart from motherboard...??

Also just to mentiond im based in India so there be a volotage difference if i purchase NTSC-U based of US because  in US guys work on 110 Voltage and in India i have 220 Voltage so how do i take care of that..?

Thanks for helping me out on this one....

Thanks Guys for all your help...I was able to get it repaired from the local market...
On another note;  The DVD drive is matched to the motherboard.  There is a code in the MB firmware that needs to find a match in the DVD drive firmware.  You would need to use a computer with SATA bus and then edit the firmware of the DVD drive to match the code from the MB firmware.  It makes it very difficult to replace a DVD drive in the 360 and they are dying constantly.
