How do I uninstall the version of IE I have and roll back to IE6 SP1?
I had upgraded to IE 7 and found that I could not debug my Javascript written in VS2003. I uninstalled IE 7 by following the instructions on the MS KB. I am now running IE 6 version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr .070227-22 54. It is not running properly at all. Whenever I switch to a new address it appears in a new window after creating a blank window in between. I am also receiving numerous debug errors. The pop-up blocker is turned off yet still seems active.
Can someone give me some idea how to reinstall a lower version of IE6?

The issue here being that IE 7 is no longer installed. It is when I followed the above directions that I got to the situation I am in now. As I mentioned I am on IE version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr .070227-22 54.
Install the latest version prior to IE 7. I think IE 6.5 SP1 or so.
Check it.

I grabbed the latest file from the IE downloads page, IE 6 SP 1 and when I tried to install it, it said that I already had a newer version installed. Can I force it by changing something in the registry maybe?

I tried all of the above and have called no joy
I have now reupgraded to IE 7 and I am going to try and get the debugger working in there. I will post more as I have more news.

Note: %windir% is the location of your Windows directory, which can usually be found at C:\Windows. To do this, you need to have "view hidden folders" enabled.
2. Then prevent IE7 from automatically downloading. You can still manually download IE7 in the future.
