Need to find a way to collect the last access date of files on the file server. It's windows 2003 Enterprise.
I need to find a way to report on last accessed date of files on our file share. We're chewing up lots of disk space and my hunch is that some it hasn't been accessed in 5+ years. I'd like to implement a data lifecycle management policy and don't want to spend a fortune. How can I collect this info with either a script, or some type of program? Jdisk report by jgoodies is exactly what I would be looking for, but it can't report on last access date, so that doesn't give me an accurate picture. Thoughts?
