Open Windows Thunderbird, go to Tools-&gt;Account Settings-&gt;your email acount-&gt;Server Settings and Uncheck the &quot;Leave Messages On Server&quot;,<br />

then close TB, open Mac TB and check there also. Make sure both are not set to &quot;Leave Messages on Server.&quot;<br />

Sorry, you can't leave them on the server for &nbsp;a few days. Your POP doesn't tell the Mac TB that they have already been downloaded.<br />

I am using the same mail directory path in both the OS and able to see all the mails in both the OS.<br />

The problem is if i download mails while in windows, and keep mails on pop3 server for few days and i login to Mac. <br />
<br />
Mac doesn't recognise that these mails have already been downloaded and it download those mails again.<br />

So, it shows each mail two times. How can i rectify this prob.
