debug errors in SSRS

I am working in Reporting Services SSRS 2005. I have six reports which resides on Report server. Now my issue is how do i show my user as what steps were invovled from pulling up the data to the report being shown. And if at all an error occurs, how do i debug the error to the level and be confident pointing out the error. Is there a process involved to it? Please advice!!
