Hello.
We have Outlook users that send mail from user enabled contacts. They send email to external recipients. If they send mail to an incorrect address and an NDR is generated, it obviously goes nowhere. I've been looking for a way to redirect these NDRs back to the user that actually used the contact to send out the mail. This way they would know that one was undelivered.
I've also tried setting the "reply to" option in Outlook when sending the message, but the NDR generated does not follow that guideline.
The reason we did not use user mailboxes for these generic accounts is to keep the number of mailboxes low, and to avoid the fact that no one will go in and remove any of the old messages in the mailbox.
I'm assuming this is not a possible option. Just making sure before i close the book on it and decide whether an actual mailbox will be needed.
