Prompted to activate Windows server 2003...It loops to the log in screen

All that was done was a simple restart and now im prompted to activate.  I have three options which are yes, no and cancel.  The error I receive is "This copy of windows must be activated with microsoft before you can continue.  You cannot log on until you activate. Do you want to activate windows now?".  No matter if I choose yes or no it still loops me back to the log in screen.

Had to do a repair install since the KB312295 article didn't work for us.  I'll definitely award points, though, since it was also what Microsoft recommended prior to the repair install.

Luckily the repair worked out for us.

Thanks!

Windows Server 2003

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter. It also had derivative versions for clusters, storage and Microsoft’s Small Business Server. Important upgrades included integrating Internet Information Services (IIS), improvements to Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GP), and the migration to Automated System Recovery (ASR).
