A Cisco router can do what you are looking for if you have the budget. &nbsp;You can use policy based routing (PBR) to forward certain traffic out one connection and the rest out the other.

Oh and 67.X.X.Z would be whatever your outbound interface IP is on your firewall to the edge router.<br />
and 71.X.X.X would be the ISP's address on you link to them. you will need two default gateways for each int.

While I'm sure the CISCO router would be the best way to go, my knowledge on CISCO is very basic. Plus, I'm not sure I could convince the bosses to spend the kind of money involved in buying one. Some of the products listed by Johnjces look like they might work. Does the Xincom product actually allow you to specify which type of traffic goes to which WAN interface?

Yes. I just double checked and we do use that and you can also use Special Feature for that as well both in and out.<br />

In Advanced Feature you have:<br />

Source IP &nbsp; &nbsp; Destination IP &nbsp; Subnet Mask &nbsp; Protocol &nbsp; Port Range &nbsp; WAN<br />

I would set it up with only a port range, for HTTP would be port 80 - 80 and select a WAN port. I did have it set up at one time for port 25 (SMTP) and as I recall it did work the way I expected.<br />

BUT, YMMV so....get with XinCOm tech support or HotBrick and make sure what you want to do it will do it.<br />

I'm assuming Edge and XRoads are the same thing. They seem to have some good products. I'm not sure if we are getting the DSL or not. I do hav an idea in mind that doesn't involve any special equipment, but if I do have to buy a router, then the edge2WAN looks like it'll do what I want. Thanks

My company has a painfuly slow quarter T1 connection. We are lookin to augment it with a DSL connection. A lot of our important incoming and outgoing traffic comes through our current connection (websites, FTP, Email, VPN). What we are looking to do is to split the bandwidth so that, for example, HTTP traffic goes through the DSL connection, and other protocols go through our T1. I have found routers that can use multiple WAN connections, but I am not sure they do it how I am talking about. Does anyone know of any products out there (hardware or software) that can do this. I see that endian firewall can use multiple WANs. I downloaded it, I am trying to scrape together a box to run it on so I can see if it will do this or not. Any suggestions?
