I don't understand what you mean by creating site locations without creating sites.

The following describes how to create sites and subnets within Active Directory: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/windowsserver2003/technologies/activedirectory/stepbystep/adsrv.mspx

Attached is what I am after, I only have 4 sites created in AD but under Subnets I Have several Site Locations created, I am not aware of how to do this. Screen capture attached

Both your screenshot and your terminology are ambiguous. Pleas clarify your terminology, and perhaps read the link I have listed above to develop a better understanding of AD Sites & Services management to determine what you are trying to do.

Each AD site is configured with one or more subnet objects that correspond to the computers located within that site. When you have configured multiple sites, you must configure a site link object to connect sites together for replication purposes; best practices is to have 2 sites per site link. All 3 of these items are created in the AD Sites & Services MMC snap-in, described in the link I listed above.

I am intrigued - that location settings are used for locating and finding printers in AD......you must have location tracking enabled in GPO

Jay you are correct, my SMS team use this Location setting explicity for supporting their product. They run reports off of it as well as support our entire infrastructure. I have recently taken over this environment. I have created sites and subnets and site links for years. However I have never used this site location setting before. Any Idea on how these are created nad where they are stored in AD
